The producers Alain and Françoise Sauzet offer seasonal vegetables, fruits, fresh eggs, homemade jam etc all year. During Summer every Sunday morning there is a little market with producers from St. Martial.

Sumène (10km) is the closest town with shopping facilities (2 bakeries, 2 butcheries, grocery shops, pharmacy). The larger towns of Ganges (14 km) and Le Vigan (20 km) have supermarkets and weekly traditional markets with a large array of local mediterranean produce that will give you great pleasure when preparing meals.

For more shopping you can drive to Nîmes, capital of the Departement du Gard, in one hour; and to Montpellier, capital of the neighbourly Departement de l’ Herault, in 45 minutes. Another 15 minutes’ drive will take you to the Mediterranean Sea.

Wine

15 km south of St. Martial you find the Mediterranean wine areas. Driving from one to another vineyard will make you discover spectacular scenery and beautiful villages and towns. Over the last 30 years the Languedoc-Roussillon has turned its large quantities of wine production into high quality production. You can buy very good wine at reasonable prices directly from the winemakers.
